View Full Version : USPS tracking useless
So my P01 Grips where shipped last monday, updated on tuesday with tracking information and that has been the end of it, no grips and no information. This is not the first time either I have parts for my glock that still say they are awaiting pickup and have been in my gun now for 3 weeks. Whats the point of offering tracking if you dont even updated it.

Dunno, USPS is the worst tracking because it does not track. It only updates to show package received and package delivered, that's it. No scans along the journey, no estimated delivery date, nada.
The USPS rates have climbed so much anyhow I pretty much use Fed-Ex and UPS now and skip USPS all together. USPS is still a good value if you are shipping a package weighing under 16oz though.

gotta keep in mind that USPS is "delivery confirmation", not tracking.

The only way to get actual tracking w/USPS is to use "registered" mail.

well that makes a bit more sense, wish the seller wouldnt call it a "tracking number" either way the wait on my grips is killing me

I don't use USPS unless it is priority. Priority mail rules.
Every time I've used online USPS package tracking, actual package transit info wasn't posted until after I've received it.

the only "true tracking" with usps is Registered mail and Express mail. what you got was probably delivery confirmation. BUT if you call your Post Office with the number they can look it up for you and it might show some more info.

Usual USPS incompetence!
Ordered a skype phone from company in Arizona. After 10 days no-show, used tracking, which showed two points in Arizona on day mailed.
After 3 weeks, USPS slip saying item would be returned if not picked up, as I had ignored their first notice (which I never saw). Grrrrr!

So true.
But it works everytime.
I think they use wormholes. Item just shipped and bingo, 5 minutes later it's on my porch!!!
