View Full Version : Breakin the law
Well I just saw 2 people break the law. I went into a stop and rob to get something as I waled up to the cashier I heard her tell a guy she couldn't sell him his brew because he didn't have his ID(I couldn't swear the cat was 21 neither). The cat next in line told the cashier aw hell put it on my bill, the man has to have his brew, so the cashier rang it up. Near as I know that's again the law:alex:

Its only against the law if the original purchaser is not 21. If you dont know how old he was how is it that you witnessed a crime? I have had a guy do this for me once when I misplaced my id(left it at home) I paid the guy and he bought my items for me. I was over 21, so no issues.

A straw purchase to sell a gun to a felon is illegal.

So you are saying that a couple of buddies goes to the store to get beer and one of them forgets his wallet... he gives his buddy some money to get him the beer. How is this illegal if they are all over 21?

OK, now verify that they are all over 21.
In the State of AZ the law requires that if you are purchasing or consuming alcohol, you must be able to prove your age. I think this may be the sticky point of this scenario.
Obviously purchasing for someone who is of age would not be a 'problem' per se but I think blatantly doing it with the cashiers knowledge in order to 'get around' what she, by law is required to do, is a no-no.
Just my humble opinion of course. :wavey:

If they know each other I am sure they know how old they are!
