I lived in Omaha NE for awhile and there was an Italian restaurant called Spaghetti Works. They had a beer cheese pasta sauce that was just out of this world. I tried my hand at makin it tonight. It was Yum-O for sure:eat:

BEER CHEESE SAUCE


1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
4 c. chicken broth
1 1/2 c. milk
16 oz. Cheez Whiz
6 oz. beer
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Melt butter and mix with flour. Add broth and milk. Stir until smooth and thick (sometimes I blend it in a food processor to get smooth). Add beer and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer 10 minutes. This can be eaten as a soup or served over hot spaghetti. Tastes like the beer cheese sauce at Spaghetti Works.

My problem is that I don't like spaghetti, linguine, angel hair... anything stringy. I like penne and rotini, but stringy spaghetti always drips sauce on my chin and fills me with an irrational anger.

Okie, not to chew you out but you might want to lay off so many carbs. I always see a whole lot of food posts coming from you that make my heart skip a beat brother.
I come from a big family that have issues with their hearts or arteries but they like to blame it on "Genetics"and I say "is that what the new steakhouse is called?"

I would like to see your next food post consist of carrot sticks and lettuce with light dressing. Can you do it Okie? I'm just trying to help a brother out. Think of the children!
