What are the irrational fears of GTers?
Mine is those wooden spoons that come with water ice (Italian ice). The thought of sucking on them gives me goosebumps. I can't even describe it verbally because it makes me clam up... just the thought of sucking on the porous wood fills me with dread. It's not actually a fear, as I can handle them just fine, but I cannot use them. Popsicle sticks too.
What are yours? And I mean irrational, not something like rabies or Democrats.

I fear the irrational fear I post in this thread will not be the same as the one I posted in the last irrational fear thread, effectively destroying what little credibility I have on GT.

changed my mind, it's actually great white sharks with rabies & ebola...uhm, wait, home-schooled great white sharks with rabies and ebola and are able to scurry across land like the mud skipper...yep, pretty sure that's what i fear.

My fear is that an airplane will come out of the sky and smash into me everytime i hear one. That i will buy the wrong 1911 (there is no wrong 1911). And that my phone is a piece of liberal **** with a mirror instead of a screen, thus, i cannot see anything ever.. wait.. i think i got off topic. I'm scared of glass.

Never! you are more fun to have around than just a bunch of silly guns (even though you have tiny feet).

I used to be afraid of volcanoes, the ice age and the Bermuda Triangle. I was 7 or 8 and for some reason those things freaked me out.
Now I live within sight of a dormant volcano, am not too far from a bunch of glaciers and vacationed last summer in the heart of the Triangle.
Face your fears!
i fear being accused of a crime i did not commit.
it has happened to me twice. once in high school for burglarizing a house and stealing some change. i was suspected 'cause i happened to cash in a giant 'tootsie roll' bank i carried in my car at the wrong time. luckily several people backed me up that i had been saving my change.
i was accused of shooting a dog. i still do not know why, except he was found in my bar ditch about 200 feet from my house and someone saw me walking from my jeep to my house. friends backed me up saying i loved animals [ i had two dogs and three cats] and they said if i had shot the dog, it would be dead, not wounded. the sheriff dropped the case for having absolutely no evidence. then the dog owner filed a civil suit [small claims] for six hundred dollars for the vet bill and the dog which did finally expire. i did not get to prove myself in court 'cause my accuser was a no show. the justice of the peace acquitted me just because the guy was a no show.
anyway my fear is going to prison for a crime i did not commit. i am pretty much a 'dudley do right' so i probably wouldn't ever go for something i actually did do.

So apparently there is already another thread running about this same topic. I have a new irrational fear: Jambogs
i thought of another.....
having to go to, and set through, an entire 'barry manilow' concert or having to listen to any of his music for that matter. i had rather hear chalk squealing on a chalkboard or grinding transmission gears than listen to manilow.
