I am active duty Coast Guard. I have my NC CCW permit and plan on getting stationed in NC again, but may be going to FL or PA. My question is, if I move to either of these two states, which both have reciprocity with NC, does my CCW become invalid? Do I have to reapply for that states permit?

Your good to go. Just make sure you follow the laws of the state your in. Your permit is good as long as you keep your state of residence as NC. If you change your state of residency then you have to get the permit for that state.

Well technically my state of residence (for the military is Florida), but I currently reside in NC.

Where is your DL issued from?

NC drivers license with the same address as CCW

Also off note, I read that I could pick up a Glock at a discount because of me being Military. Do you know of any LE Dealers around Fayetteveille? Raleigh? Thanks

For a NC CHP you must be a resident. If you change over to FL or PA DL then your NC CHP is no longer valid. You'll have to go for the state your in.

Also don't forget that you are required by law to notify the issuing sheriff within 30 days after a permanent change of address. If you don't do that it could hose you up in getting another permit at a later date.
