Now that I've got your attention. Can anyone link a news article of decent length that is pro corporal punishment for kids? I have to write an essay analyzing two opposite points and how the authors try to convince you to their way of thinking. I have my article against corporal punishment but its becoming a real chore to find one for it. I know for a fact theres many people for it, why can't I find a news article?

I think the biggest arguement in favor of spanking is all the kids who were never spanked.

You can abuse your kids by not spanking them just as easily as you can with a spanking.

The key seems to be that whatever you do should not be done in anger or resentment towards the child. Children need love; and punishment can be a very meaningful and useful demonstration of love and concern for the child.

You don't have to spank your kids, they just have to know that when you set a boundary there are penalties for crossing it.

The wild kids are the ones that learn that no matter what their folks say they can do what they want and there will be no consequences.
