I need a money clip, preferable one that will hold credit cards, and have no idea what to look for.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

A traditional money clip is too narrow to carry credit cards in. Mine pushed/spread to the outside and doesn't have enough spring to hold well and everything falls out of it.

look no further than right here:

Bosca front pocket wallet.......this is the "Ferrari" of wallets, at a reasonable price....most money clips that are "spring" loaded lose their tension after use and especially if you try to "stuff" too much cash in them....the Bosca Ive been using below for years and is very good!!!!

That looks like what my mother gave me as a Christmas present about 5 years ago. I hate full size wallets and love this. Magnetic money clip and room for a DL, health insurance card, and one or two credit cards. It's now all I have and all I want.

Ok, since it's established some of us use money clips I have a question, a couple actually:

Do you order the money in your clip or just shove it in at random?

If you do, do you have the largest bills on the outside to show how flush you are?

Or do you have singles on the outside with denominations increasing towards the center?

Why do you do what you do?

Small bills outside. That is all I have, I am not flush.

I keep either a 20 or 50 on the outside, regardless of what's inside. I don't show off my cash - it always draws unwanted attention, whether from crooks or gold diggers.

I actually just traded in my two pound checkboot wallet thing for a Fossil one of those. I love it. Makes me feel ten pounds lighter, it's easier to sit on, and it doesn't stick out the top of my pocket. I've got my DL, CWP, debit card, and credit card in it. That's it. So far, I'm not regretting my decision.

Big +1

I'm on my second one.

I organize my bills at the start of each day......smallest on the outside.

Throughout the day, small change bills go in my pocket and are used for small purchases.

I don't carry much cash usually, no more than $30-40 dollars. I have the largest bills on the outside declining towards the center. That usually means a 20 or a 10 is on the outside. The exception is those rare cases where I may have several hundred dollars for a planned purchase requiring cash. In that case the $100s go in the middle and a $20 on the outside.

Here are some suggestions. Similar to the ones listed above, but very nice still and cheaper.

I have used this site before and had good results with the stuff from this store.

Hope you find something you like!

I got a really nice, fat, sterling money clip for my birthday years ago. It was from Tiffany & Co. and engraved with my initials. For years it worked fine carrying a couple of credit cards, health insurance card, drivers license and a few bucks, etc. It always set off the alarm going through airport security and it was a pain putting a money clip in one of those baskets for everyone to see what you're carrying so.........I'm back to using a rubber band and when I want to be fashionable I use one of those pony tail bands that my wife has all over the house. The Tiffany money clip is in the safe along with the Rolex.................

I was worried about that but as far as I can tell it hasn't harmed one. I do keep cards with strips as far away from the magnets as I can but I have forgotten too and put them in front at times.
