I had 3 or 4 then switched to Miller Lite. I LOVE Sammy, but with all the hops and stuff more than a few gives me a headache the next day.

Miller Lite (i.e. pisswater) doesn't hurt so bad :)

Really? It's been my, um, experience that the cheaper beers hurt more.

Sometimes that is true.

Bud Light always leaves me with a headache, whether I have 2 or 12. (There are SOME exceptions...I can drink BL at a couple bars and I come off none the worse for wear, dunno why).

Coors Light always leaves me with the mad green pewpies.

Miller Lite (bottle, draft, or can) always treats me well.

"heavy" beers (whether in taste/ingredients, quantity, whatever) will affect me adversely if I overdo them. So I usually play it safe. I either have a few and quit, or have a few and switch to the ML :)

We got back from Munich this morning.

Pics and a seperate post forthcoming.

Stopped in at the Hofbrauhaus, and later, in the Armbrustschutzen tent on the actual grounds.

My homebrew club had our 10th annual Oktoberfest yesterday -- great fun. Over 5,000 beer lovers enjoying over 400 beers from over 100 countries. We probably had at least 120 kegs of homebrew served and not a single problem with any of the revelers. Plus we'll be donating $50,000 to two local charities.

I went down last night to the local Oktoberfest gig they do every year at a german deli. It was 8pm by the time I got there, everyone there had been drinking since noon, so you can imagine the mood and condition of everyone. Ran into a neighbor from the area who usually is confrontational to others and knew things were going sideways.

Anyway, I am outside enjoying my first beer and three melees are taking place at the same time. Apparently this guy was grabbing a woman's boobs, and go figure, she didn't like that, so what does he do...punches her in the face. Then about five guys jump him in the bar, while outside on the patio we watch a guy telling the traffic control guy to move the barrier so he can get out, then gets out of his truck shoves him and wants to fight, as this is going on the parking lot fills with about four fights, giant liter sized mugs are shattering, people are scrambling, kids running around.

Good family fun I tell ya.

Then the police roll in like a scene out of swat, five or six cars, one on the sidewalk, all of them doing the fast approach, super silent swoop and tactical park formation move, it was kind of humorous.

Ender,

Same here.. but while I was in Ireland, I drank Guiness from breakfast till lights out.. and NEVER had a problem..

There's something else in the beer, over here.. :wow:
