Well I remeber someone saying on a prior thread about the HST. I believe it was something like, "Anyone see a HST not look perfect when expanded" Well untill the other day everyone I have seen has looked perfect. So I was out shooting my G21 the other day and my shooting buddy just picked up a G32 and was wanting to check out the penetration the 357sig is capable of. He grabs an Iron skillet and sets it up and proceds to fire a couple of round at it. Usuing FMJ it was going right through. No surprise, So I was curious as to see if a 230 grain fmj would go through it. Not so much, Which again I was not surprised. So I thought I would see what the HST would do. Thinking it would not penatrate I fired a couple anyway. Well to my surprise it did penetrate. It also went through the other iron skillet that was behing the one we were shooting. Made a pretty nasty hole, So we looked around for the bullet and found it lying on the ground just a few feet from the stop. First one I have seen that didn't look perfect, But what do you expect from shooting steel. The jacket never seperated from the core though. Gotta love the HST's

Just thought some of you might find it interesting.

I'll be posting pics soon.

So a .45 HST went through two iron skillets? Impressive, I wouldn't have expected that from a fat and slow .45 auto. Were you shooting standard or +P?

Yeah it went through the one in the pic. I had a little iron skillet behind it and it broke off a piece of it. I didn't take a pic of that one.

I was using 230 +P out of my G21 from about 35 feet.

Brave or stupid...lmao!!..no I have built a shooters stand that is enclosed out of railroad ties and 4x4's. I mainly built it to keep the sun off of my bald head but decided it could serve multi purposes. So I built it a little more sturdy if you will.
