Many threads about what people would do to defend their family should the need arise. I believe you absolutely should. However, be careful how you go about it, and what you use. The story above should be a no brainer. Convicted child molester breaks into a home, and gets killed by the homeowner with his bare hands. Yet the there is still talk of an investigation by the DA and someone is quoted as saying "there are no winners here, he (the child molester) had a family too." This guy killed an intruder with his bare hands, and there are still sympathizers for the child molester he killed. How might this have turned out if he had been zapped with a full mag from an AR 15. All of a sudden, the headline MIGHT have read, "Man Slaughters Intruder With Assault Weapon".

It's nobody's business how you go about protecting you and yours, but in today's environment, MY PERSONAL OPINION is that the perp usually gets the benifit of the doubt, and choice of weapon MAY be working against the homeowner. Just my opinion, so if you wanna blow away those home intruders with your M4 loaded up with uranium depleted rounds, don't think I'm trying to be MR Know It All. Just thought ya'll might find this interesting.

MY PERSONAL OPINION is that the perp usually gets the benifit of the doubt,
My personal oponion is the only benifit, especially in a case like this, the perp gets is being allowed to make the decision not to enter the house.

But this being Texas I'd also drop him outside on my property.

As far as using a weapon, the chances are 50-50 he will be shot with an AR.

and there are still sympathizers for the child molester he killed
They are as sick as the molester.

The weapon I choose might depend on the situation. I don't think using a Garand, M14, AR, M1 Carbine, or Thompson would raise even one eyebrow on a Texas jury if it got that far, which I doubt.

He should get a reward for killing the scum. Child molestors are the lowest form of life. And while they assert 'no one wins', I beg to differ. Society has won here.

it's sad that we live in a time where there are people out there that sympathises with this MANSTER!

They Truely are living, breathing monsters that need to be stoped before they harm others!

Personally, i feel that i should be able to shoot someone like that with a Freekin 40mm Grenade, or a fullauto tompson(which i wish i had:crying:) without anyone lifting an eyebrow! it's sad that we have to be worried about what we use to protect our family with!

If I am completely surprised, I would use my .45 G36. If I have time to retreat to the bedroom, the 12 gauge 00 Buck. I just shot a steel drum with some 3" loads for the first time with my new used Winchester, and that is my new HD round of choice. Good lord that left some nasty holes, I don't care how crazy or what drugs they are on, one center of mass with one of those will take the fight out of them.

I just gotta hope if it goes to court nobody mentions they say on the box they are rated for bear.:whistling:

Police did not anticipate any charges against McNally.

"If a person breaks into your home, you are justified in using deadly force in defending your family," said Mount. "In this situation, I don't think he was trying to kill him, he was trying to hold him down."

The guy won't be charged with anything, its political suicide even in libtard filled cities. The point about nobody winning is very true, the dead criminal's family will have to deal with not only having a dead criminal moron as a son/father/brother, but will also have to deal with a community that may take it out on them.

In any situation where a death occured as part of a crime, a prosecutor is bound to take a look at it, that doesn't mean any charge will come from it and in this case, I highly highly doubt it.
