If something funny gets going can we do copycat threads to make fun of the original thread without getting banned? I personally thought that the McDonalds ice cream cone threads in GNG a couple of weeks ago were some of the funniest things I have read in a long time. Obviously the Big Giant Head did not think so and I was one of the people banned for a short period of time.
So, will we be able to cut loose a little more in here?
I started two of those threads:rofl:

Back before "sanctioning" or whatever it's called, BGH came down on a few of us for doing just that.
So, fast forward to today.
If we can say **** like **** in here, do you think repeat threads will get us banned?
I'd actually PM BGH or CJ to get the answer to that one.

Just to be clear. I am not trying to make fun of Eric by referring to him as the "Big Giant Head". I have seen other people refer to him as that and that is his forum title. So, if that is not allowed, please excuse me. I am just trying to figure out where the line is so I do not cross it.

Making fun of individual members by name is a completely separate issue, but one that I thought of when you mentioned the "copycat" threads.
Now, if that member is a member here, have at it! If they're not, however, we don't want to drag anyone through the dirt who isn't here to throw it right back atcha. Capisce?
I was a member of another somewhat large forum before I discovered GT, and there were private rooms there. Some feelings got hurt because word got out about people talking **** about specific other members.
Talk **** about me all you want, right here in the room. Rag on others if you want, provided they're here.
I'd say it's OK to link to outside threads, to get a few laughs, just don't go sayin' some poster is a ****in' idiot or some **** like that.
I'm glad we have admins and other mods as members here. I hope they'll let me know when something gets taken too far, and I hope y'all don't turn the joint into a madhouse when I'm on those long overseas flights. ;)
