My digital camera saves movie clips in QuickTime's .MOV format. What easy-to-use, free/cheap editor can I get to edit these files (basically, I just want to snip out short sections for posting online; saving as other file types would be a nice option, too)?

Thanks for any help GTers can provide!

And no, they aren't THAT kind of videos. Pervs...

I'd like to be able to save short action clips from the range, like this screen cap shows:

Hmmm.

Maybe there ISN'T a free/cheap .MOV editor, which would explain why I couldn't find one during my search. :dunno:

Last call for assistance...

Just so you don't feel ignored, I don't know of one...

Good luck..

Thanks for the input.

I think it's kinda strange that there doesn't seem to be anything out there. Does Apple guard the code that closely, that no one can do anything with it?

(sigh)

I guess I'm resigned to seeing what Apple has to offer.
Thanks to all who looked in.

After you have your movie in AVI format you've got a lot of options.

VirtualDub is free and nice for quick edits.

Huh! I never considered converting it to another format right off the bat. Maybe that will get me where I need to go!

Thanks!
