Changing G22 40sw to 357 SIG... Does anyone suggest anything other than a barrel swap for this conversion?

I'd reccomend making sure if you have the newer reinforced frame, and a stronger recoil spring.

Thanks Reflex, I'm sure that it's a Gen 2, model 22 and I'll look into getting a stronger spring...

I did the same thing, eyes_only. Got a factory G31 barrel and an uncaptured stainless steel rod with 20# spring. It shoots like a dream, no jams or problems of any kind. You can even use your G22 magazines.

I went in the other direction: from a G31 to a G22, via the factory 22 barrel.
