Just a few colors of the passing summer. Soon first rains will come, and the golden hills will start turning green. This was shot yesterday:

Aaarrgghh... have I missed something that happened with the software upgrade? The traditional way of linking images no longer appears to work. :dunno:

Anyone has an idea on how to make thumbnail linking to work?

Well, before I figure it out, here is the URL (http://www.pbase.com/image/104403435/original).

What a blue, blue sky.

I don't know how thumbnails work, new way or old. I can't help there.

BTW, you can't get emails or PMs. And thanks! :wavey:

Yes, we've lucked out with the weather on that hike. The sky got no post-processing, btw. It was really like that.

I guess we now have to just post text URLs. Not sure how this is an improvement over the old way, but what can you do.

I know, weird things have been going on. I couldn't post today, either. Seems okay now. I've replied to your PM, too.

I got the PM but it said you didn't accept PMs or emails when I tried to reply.

I figured something was being tinkered with by Eric and it will all be back soon.

I have no clue how you guys have been doing thumbnails or what is up with those now. :dunno:

We are starting to get bright orange trees here

Easterbrook, I understand you can do that, but I wanted to link a thumbnail to a page. This just resizes the photo according to its own wishes, and then when I click on it, it opens up the photo (not the page) to full size.

I guess the old behavior is not possible now. I don't really see it as an improvement, but I suppose I can just provide text links now instead of thumbnails.

Yep, it's some auto resizing crap. That photo is 838x664 pixels. Which is not too large by 2008 standards. But auto resizing crap creates artifacts, and makes your pics look like crap.

No reason to post in here any more.

See, I knew I missed something. Thanks!

Of course that means that I can click on a thumbnail linked to a page, and it will open the page for me (first post above works as it was supposed to), but if someone does not have that option set, it still won't work.

Beautiful landscape, blueiron. Makes me nostalgic for open spaces. Gotta get out of the office.

For the techically inclined:

Nikon D3, with a 20mm Nikkor. 1/750 exposure at f/11.

The location is about 15 miles west of Flagstaff, Arizona and facing north. The mountain obscured by low clouds in the center is the San Francisco Mountain.
