Stupid form question

I'm about to make a purchase of a class III device, and this is going to be my first. I know the ATF needs forms filled out, but which ones? I'd like to go ahead and start filling them out so I can get them to the dealer ASAP - I assume they are available for download?

The forms are specific to a gun you buy. You have to buy an actual gun first. Fill out your form 4 with the guns information, your information, the information of the person or dealer you are buying the gun from. Then you need fingerprints, photos, and take all that to your local law enf. dept for the Chief Law Enf. Officer to sign the forms for you if he will.

Your dealer you are buying from will have forms. Have him fill them out for you he has done it many times.

Like UZIFORME said. The dealer is going to charge you for processing the forms, so you may as well let them do the work. All I ever do is read over them for errors and sign.
