I know I'll be there. It's time for all of us to stand together and let our elected officials know we are involved.

Come one - come all - bring the family. Don't let the school be the only one that teaches your children about the government.

I'll be coming in from the Charlottesville area, if people are interested, maybe we can set up a carpool. If enough people are interested, maybe we can set up a convoy!

Let's not waste time licking our wounds and bemoaning the fact that an anti-gunner has won the Presidential race. Things happen - we need to deal with it. From adversity will come strength and resolve.

We do know this: we must fight more than ever before to ensure that politicians in Virginia are not emboldened into thinking that they have free rein to implement more gun-control measures!

How? Simple:

1. Let's work to get VCDL memberships up through the roof! Sign up family members, friends, business associates, and acquaintances. Numbers are our strength and this is not the time to let them dwindle!

2. If you're already on VA-ALERT, but not yet a VCDL member, JOIN!

3. Mark your calendar on JANUAR 19th, Lobby Day, to meet with us in Richmond at the General Assembly. We're going to have speakers at the Bell Tower starting at noon, and the line up is really impressive, but we need you there at 9:30AM to go with us and meet legislators. It's time to go STRONGLY on the offensive and tell legislators in a loud and united voice that we want ALL of our gun-rights restored!
And NO MORE GUN-CONTROL.

Last year we had 400 folks show up. This year we want to make that look like chump change. Take off a day from work if you need to, get a baby sitter if you can't bring the kids, but be there and proudly wear the orange Guns Save Lives sticker.

Last year when Senator Dick Saslaw saw all of us on Lobby Day, he said in his derogatory manner, "well, it looks as if half the cast of deliverance is here". To the distinguished Senator we say, "PADDLE FASTER SENATOR, WE'RE COMING BACK!"

Send an email to Dave Vann letting him know you're coming and how many you'll be bringing with you. Email Dave at LobbyDay@VCDL.org. And look for updates and an internet video on the upcoming Lobby Day next month.

I believe the 19th is MLK Day, so all the feds will be off. I'd like to be there.
