Well, considering that there was a full moon or something close to it out tonight, I just knew the crazies would be making an appearance.
We had a great turn out for the Thursday night GLIPSC match. So nice to see so many faces, some even new ones...some old and skinny, but we let him shoot anyway, even though he needs a red dot to be accurate.
Dean did a great job coming up with a good challenge that was carry gun, 1911 and revolver friendly. (I know, crazy, huh?)
3 sets of targets, each with a no shoot in the array. There was a shooters box that you could not get out of and a set of 2 double barrel barracades to shoot around. At the beep, shoot 2 rounds in each target in one of the arrays (targets were fanned out some with very little shooting area to hit, plus don't forget there were no shoots in the array, too). Once you shot that array, then mag change, shoot the next array, mag change, then switch the side of the barrels and shoot the final array. 2 of the arrays were a good distance (about 10-15 yards, maybe more) away and the middle array was about 5 yards away.
5.149 John Haas :wow: and no red dot
4.859 Lee Leonard
3.992 John Whitt
3.771 Jeff Cooke
2.040 Dean Francisco
1.455 Jim Geiger
1.173 Scott Davidson
0.387 Greg Hodges
0.209 Leigh Ann Jeter :crying:
Thanks everyone for such a good time. Looking forward to our next shoot on Thursday the 20th. Don't know what we're doing, but I'm sure some turkeys will be showing up considering the season.
