How do your BHPs handle premium hollow point ammo like HST and Golden Saber?

I would like to get a new BHP but only if it can reliably spit these rounds out.

They should eat everything in sight.

Not so long ago, I ran 100 standard pressure 124 gr Golden Sabres through my BHP, and they worked fine. Not a hitch. 100 rounds flawless.

Can't say about any other rounds, though.

MKIIIs will feed anything.
The only time mine has jammed was when I tried a shok buff.

Like most modern pistols being produced, the feedramp and throat has been modified for feeding in later models.

Only the older BHP's with the feed ramp "bump" had problems with HP's. I've had four newer HP's and never a single malfunction with all types of rounds.

I have 2 and neither will feed hollow points very well. I have been using nothing but federal FMJ's for 15+ years now.

My 1994ish BHP has digested everything ever fed to it. I try to use hollowpoints with more of an FMJ ogive like Winchester SXTs.

However, it's even eaten 'flying ashtray' type JHPs like the old Speer Lawman series.

Matter of fact, I don't ever remember having any malfunctions with this particular BHP.

I've got a '93 vintage FN built 'Practical' 9mm model and shoot Winchester 'White Box' FMJ's and Georgia Arms 124 gr. +P Gold Dots and haven't had any problems.

Never tried Golden Sabers or anything, but wouldn't expect any issues since it eats Gold Dots OK.

MKIIIs will feed anything.

+1...I don't shoot +P ammo in my older HPs - just my MKIII.

Two MKIII's, including an early one with a forged frame, and a Practical. None have any problems with hollowpoints. Not a problem, these are great pistols.

Beginning in the early 80s FN changed the feedramp to take hollow points. Since then, the Hi-Powers feed everything. I have a Mark II from the late 80s and a Mark III that's about 5 years old. They are both 100% reliable with all kinds of ammo.

My 1984 vintage BHP chews up and spits out ANY and ALL factory ammo I feed it.

My Hi Power, 2004 manufacture, eats anything I care to feed it.
