:shocked::shocked:

A coworker's husband wants to set me up with someone who recently moved here. I dont want to say too much about it right now...but I told her that I would meet him. He's older than I generally go out with, but I suppose there's a whole lot more security in that then the toyboys :rofl: :rofl: I told her I would prefer if we all go do somethng rather than to have an outright set up type of thing. So, I guess we'll see :dunno:

She sits on the other side of the room so I dont really get to talk to her much.

:tongueout: Actually he is. :shocked: My coworker is married to a cop. But, even if he wasn't I'd meet him as long as he was into guns and a good person. The thing is...I'm not sure they've known him long enough to know if he is a good person...but I sort of just assume that LEOs are good people..that sort of makes things easier (not that it's good to assume anything really). I only want to date people who I think are making a positive impact on the world..in at least some small manner.

Too late y'all. She told me to call so I had to! And the email addy was missing a dot. :sad: But, I just talked to him for over two hours and I really liked him! Besides, it's too hard for someone to call me because I am not going to stay off the internet long enough for someone to call me. I just can't, it makes me go bonkers. Anyway, he seemed really cool. :) He did not just move here from NY, he's from here. That makes more sense..but he lived in NY for awhile.

Soooo.....tell us about him.

Hmm... well he was married for 22 years and has only been separated for one year. He has two sons, one is 22 and one is 34. That sort of weirds me out...but I'm going to try to not think about that (that his oldest son is older than most of the guys I've dated :rofl: ). He has a lot of interests, including flying airplanes (this worries me too...I lost a cousin and 3 friends I grew up with in a small plane accident). In fact, he has a plane (if not more than one...I wasn't sure if I heard him correctly..but one is for sale, then there is a 2 seater but it could be the one for sale, and then there is one in parts). He works on the planes himself. He also had a house in Connecticut that he's worked on, and so he has an interest in refurbishing homes. He hates snow!!! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY :rofl: He said the only place snow belongs on is a post card. :supergrin:

He believes the way I do about taking care of one's health and eating right and he works out. He doesn't eat fast food (mostly Subway). In fact, he has a cold right now and hasn't gone running in 3 days and that was upsetting him. He doesn't smoke (another YAY). He's been in the sales/business/publishing world for most of his working life and has been in LE for 5 years. He got interested in LE mostly because his son was a criminal justice student at the time. That son just started NCIS???? (I've never been very good with details). He got his concealed carry permit approximately ten years ago when a friend of his was robbed of a wallet and then the bad guy shot him in the abdomen anyway and although he survived, he was in a bad way for a long time. He has some rifles and a Kimber and a Glock 30 and a .357 revolver with a 6 inch barrel and he carries a H&K.

I think that's about it, LOL.

Well....how's it going?

I think it's going very well. I'm trying to be cautious, but he's incredibly good/sweet to me and yesterday he sent me a text at 4:30 p.m. and I didn't notice it (I have it set at only one beep)..and so he was worried about me when I didnt respond back and because he's now seen where I live, LOL :)

They've been taking romantic walks together. Well, by romantic walks, what I mean is SHE has been walking him next to his scooter store scooter while occasionally draining his drool bucket and changing his diapers.

However, they have been on vacation until tomorrow at 2 so hopefully I'll be able to get through and make the reservations in time. :) Then, I have to hope he wont get stuck at work it being New Years Eve and all but he says he probably won't. :)
