Not being at all critical here, but :headscratch:

Matthew 22:37b-40 comes to mind.

However, you will notice that it doesn't do away with it, it tells the main supports for Torah. Look a little further.

Without Torah, you would not know what God likes, dislikes, considers sin. Jesus being the fulfillment of Torah freed us from the law of sin and death, but it doesn't do away with it. Paul treated this rather well, Jesus Himself said not one jot or tittle will pass away, etcetera.

Yes Pinki concerning Hannukah, it is a celebration for Jewish folk primarily because, they were delivered. Purim as well. Yeshua, (Jesus in English), is of the tribe of Judah by earthly lineage. There is a short mention that he went into the temple during the festival of lights.

With apologies to Pinki for aberring from the subject matter of the thread, I will in short explain a few things from a Torah observant perspective.

As a converted Gentile, I always viewed freedom from Torah as a blessing! 600+ laws I don't have t worry about.

Mm'kay. Look at the whole of the Bible, and you will find that there are certain things that are actually more strict. You not only can't murder in act, you now can't in thought; nor can you lust after a woman in your heart, as it's the same as committing the act itself.

The Laws were written on our hearts presently, which means they are closer than on the stone tablets.

The works of the flesh listed in Galatians, that's the Law's prohibitions in the very short form, same in Romans.

Whom do you think John was speaking of when he was referring to the Word?

1 John talks about keeping His commandments, not breaking them.

The bad part is this, there were certain of the Jews who did say to Gentiles, you have to go by the Law to be saved. That is what got Paul in an uproar. For it is by G-d's grace that we are saved, not by keeping the Law. The Law and keeping of various things pertaining to the Law, and Torah pointed to the Messiah, who fulfilled the Law, not done away with it.

Yes, there are some changes, as you well know, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit verses going to the Temple in Yerushalayem. We are instructed by the Messiah it's what comes out of the mouth that maketh a man dirty, not what goes in. This is only naming a couple.

Even Acts 15 which many Gentile converted to Christians point to has this, " 21 For from the earliest times, Moshe has had in every city those who proclaim him, with his words being read in the synagogues every Shabbat." Complete Jewish Bible.

The very short version of the Law is this, which the Messiah pointed out, if you do things out of love, you won't want to do things that are wrong, that are sinful in God's eyes. That is what the Law is in part about. It pointed out the sinfulness of man, and pointed out that if you don't do these things that are sin, you have obeyed the Law. The simplicity of the famous Ten Commandments is Love your G-d, your family, your neighbors, your fellow country men. 1 Corinthians 13 known as the love chapter by many Christians, what does it tell you? If you act out of genuine love for God, and your fellow man, you are indeed going to be fulfilling the Law.

Part of the fulfillment of the Law is, Yeshua is the fulfillment within the sacrifice of Mashiach, hence the reason that the veil came apart, and the blood went into Mt. Calvary. Did you know that there is the possibility that the Ark of the Covenant was underneath at that time, as well as the mercy seat as designed for on Earth. http://www.wyattmuseum.com/ac_update.htm Interesting, I think.

I could go on, and on, but I am not sure if this is the proper forum. If so, I would gladly do so a little at a time, perhaps even have a thread reserved for such.

Hack, this little corner of the world is for y'all. You can leave the post here if you want...or if you want me to create a separate thread for it, I can do that too. :) It's all ok by me.
