Just curious if this thought has passed through your head. I'm not sure what it would take to get it done but I know I could browse glocktalk on my mobile device much easier if it were possible....

I often use my MotoQ smartphone when out and about to get my GT fix. The site is managable for forum viewing, but some graphic take time to load. All in all, the mobile experience for me isn't too bad right now, but a GT.mobi would be sweet.

I use a Dare. Sometimes it works decent, but I get a lot of memory/script errors (too many ads/pics). It's a pain!! I'm glad you brought this up because I was wondering if there was a lo-fi version of Glocktalk.

Download Opera Mini 4.2 Beta. Its blows the BB browser out of the water. Once downloaded, on the home screen for the browser, hit the menu button on your BB, and there should be somewhere for you to check 'Mobile View'. Select that, Hit the menu button and save.

That's what I do. I have a Curve 8310 with AT&T.

Let me kiss up first - this is a GREAT site and I visit every day. I really appreciate all the hard work that goes into making this site what it is... :wavey:

How about a mobile version of the site for paid members? I visit http://forums.crackberry.com/ everyday as well - they have 2 forum skins/styles that is optimized for viewing with a mobile device... WAP & WAP3 (Look on the bottom left of the screen)

They even have their own mobile address - www.wap.crackberry.com

As a paid member, granted it is only silver, I would LOVE to hit GT from my Blackberry without all the graphics etc...

PLEASE PLEASE consider this - Take a poll to gauge interest... I am sure that you would get more paid members with this option...

Id like to see this happen.
I use a Moto Q and the pages are not that bad to load but a little slow.

Just a bit of advice on cell phone use.
In your phone there should be a view option "show pictures" just turn it off.
It makes the pages load a bit faster.

I've been on other forums that use the same forum software as GT but have a selectable mobile view and it is much faster not having to wait for graphics and ads to load.

Work is setting up an 8830 for me right now. I'm glad to hear GT will run better than it does on my Palm. For those times when the laptop and aircard are a little too cumbersome.

Works fine on my 8330...

I use a tmobile dash. This site loads kind of slow and gives me "a script has caused this site to load slowly, abort?" error every couple of pages.

I would love a mobile version of GT.

I'm sending from my 8330. It's not too bad. Could use a little bit of cleaning up.I like the fact that I can search and post on a moments notice. This way I don't miss the good deals...;)

I would say though, when looking at GT from the mobile, things are definitely SPREAD WAY out and a little harder to find.

Just my .02 cents. GT mobile would rock!!!

Mobile themes are relatively easy to add but they don't show any ad's. Servers can be expensive and forums as big as this can be very costly. I'm sure Eric needs every click-through he can get and if there's a mobile version, then there are NO ad's to click through.

It would be nice though... :)

This is the only place I really don't go to on the road on my Blackberry. It loads but is far too hard to find what I want on it. A mobile version is a great idea.

I don't want a Bi-Phone. I want my more powerful, open source, battery swappable, 5.0 MP, 6.4 hour talk time, 32 GB, multi-tasking, larger (3.7 inch), higher resolution screen (240dpi droid/163dpi apple) not an i-Fad mp3 player with a phone crammed in.

Another iPhone user that has had no issues even with a gen 1 unit. None the less a mobile version would be a nice option for being able to get a quick fix in.

It gets old. GT works fine with my Droid. Like you though, I believe a mobile option would be perfect for quick responses in threads and the like. ;)

Another vote for a mobile version. I just got a new BB Curve. Love it, and GT is do-able, but takes some time, and sometimes I have log-in trouble.

It's been brought up a few times. I think his main focus has been on the forum and it's upgrades. Hopefully when he has the forum where he wants it to be, he'll consider a mobile version. Of course I'm not speaking for Eric, just speculating.
Dude, Eric is always making upgrades to GlockTalk and I don't think it will ever be "where he wants it to be". He isn't the complacent type.

With that having been said, I think a GlockTalk iPhone app would be a great way to bring in some extra money. IDK how much something like that costs to develop (probably quite a bit, unfortunately), but I'd definitely pay $1-$3 to have a GlockTalk application on my phone, regardless of exactly what it did. Yeah, I'm a geek like that. :cool:

Until today BerryBlab was still in beta, but it has now gone version 1.0 and is ready for the spotlight. So what is BerryBlab?

BerryBlab is a new BlackBerry app that is a real must-have for those BlackBerry users out there who frequent web forums that are powered by vBulletin, such as our own CrackBerry forums. Rather than browsing the forums via the BlackBerry web browser on your device, you can now surf them via the BlackBery app which provides a smooth user experience. It works on both touchscreen and non-touchscreen BlackBerry Smartphones, and provides all of the basic functionality you'd expect in a mobile forum viewing experience: you can view forums and subforums, post and reply to threads, view images, get PMs, etc. The app allows you to access multiple forums as well, so you can jump back and forth between all your favorite forums.

One key point to make note of here is that the forum administrator MUST install the BerryBlab plugin into their forums in order for the app to work with that site. In the case of CrackBerry, we've had it up and running for weeks now as beta-testing progressed on the application. Tapatalk site says Nokia & BB will be supported by sometime this month. This is sweet & all, but I bet a .mobi GT would still be better. I hope BGH will consider it. I would certainly prefer to chuck $3.00 @ Eric than Tapatalk. Heck, I might even chuck a couple more duckets his way...

So just went by http://www.tapatalk.com/ & it appears that they have some beta BB apps. After only a quick scan of the site, it appears they have two different apps, & I figure you go by your OS # to determine which you are to download.

I have determined that I need to update my OS on my 8300 before I can get in the game. Anybody else try this yet? If so, able to pull up GT?
