My dealer has a new Mini-Eagle .380. Don't want to get stung on it like I did with the LCP. Does Desert Eagle use MIM parts in any of their pistols?

He was expecting it to be brutal and it turned out that it actually wasn't that bad at all and it's his new small carry piece. mecenas1991 01-02-2009, 21:02 This is actually called Micro Eagle, if I am not mistaken. It really is a Czech Kevin pistol. Probably Magnum Researcg bought the rights to produce it in the USA otherwise it is too small to qualify for importation by ATF. Take a look at the link below with a shooting of this gun. It appears that it hardly recoils at all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8briK1YbD8g ...and this is Czech manufacturer's page: http://www.zvi.cz/en/products/9-mm-pistol-kevin.html Retops 01-10-2009, 21:02 This video showing the takedown procedure for a Kevin is interesting. The design is not one I recognize. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-isHNC5NU0&NR=1 ccoorreeyy 01-12-2009, 06:19 I have been very happy with mine. Accurate enough, easy to shoot, has shot eveything i've fed it, small enough for pocket carry and I got it for way less $$ than any other one i've seen for sale! 200 rounds down the pipe so far. I would like to get a set of the wood grips the Kevin pistols have though. Corey http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x275/ccaallaahhaann/DSC_1703.jpg It's smaller than a Rohrbaugh but bigger than a Seecamp. Mine is 13.5oz empty. http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x275/ccaallaahhaann/DSC_1726.jpg mecenas1991 01-12-2009, 14:00 This design is what the European so called "vest pocket" pistols used to represent, including a Czech Model CZ45 in .25 ACP caliber, a whole slew of German 1930s .25 automatics and an Astra Cub/Colt Junior pistols in .25 ACP caliber. The slide was held by the lugs on the barrel. Once the lugs were turned away from the frame cutouts - the whole barrel/slide assembly could be moved forward off the frame. Aftre putting it back you have to turn the barrel again to engage the lugs. DA1DE 01-14-2009, 10:25 Great photos! The new pistol is smaller than I thought. Thanks for posting. mecenas1991 01-24-2009, 16:22 Question to CCOORREEYY Does the double action only trigger system allow a second strike or does it need to be re-set like Para or Glock? Thanks Mecenas ccoorreeyy 02-17-2009, 20:11 Not like the Glock. It strikes every trigger pull. mecenas1991 02-18-2009, 08:16 Thanks for your reply. Someone in one of the posts suggested that the Micro Eagle has no second strike capabilities. Obviously they were wrong ccoorreeyy 03-02-2009, 15:38 I recieved my Micro 380 holster from Hidden Holster today and am very happy with it! I thought I might give Jim a plug here since he did such a great job on my holster. Thanks Jim Corey http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x275/ccaallaahhaann/holsters/HiddenHolstersMicro.gif bac1023 03-11-2009, 22:27 I was impressed with the one I handled. vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
