Aquiring a network id from vista

I use a wireless system with a lap top. I want to add a desktop but do not have the newtwork password required to log on. The network passsword was entered into my laptop but cannot find it. Is there a way i can pull up the password on my laptop vista and install it on the desktop?

If this is your wireless system then why don't you log into your router to get your password?
