View Full Version : Safari Club International G22 value?

I have a G2 Glock 22 pistol in which the right side of the slide was stamped with the Safari Club International logo before finishing. I've had this pistol for about 13 or 14 years I think, and bought it from a guy that had won it in a fundraiser raffle for SCI. I'm assuming that these pistols were donated/discounted to SCI for fundraising auctions. I've never found/seen another and nowhere I've previously posted has anyone had any information on them. Seems this would be the place to ask if anyone outside of Glock may have information or production numbers on it. Thanks!

That's a new one to me. I'll check with some of my GCA buddies if I get a chance. I've sent you a PM to get more info.

What's the serial number prefix?

Is there a date code on it? (three small letters to the far right of the serial number on the barrel)

Prefix is CGL

Prefix is CGL
Entries from our serial number project:

"CGL - G-22 - May 1997 - 2nd Gen. - 3 pin, slide engraved VAN BUREN POLICE
CGL - G-22 - June 1997 - 2nd Gen. - D.P.A. Police on slide"

Yeah, I noticed that on either side of that date code there weren't any G22's, I suppose it would make sense that they would make them in lots though.

Edit: It actually would make sense that it was built in '97 too, I turned 21 summer of '97 so I started looking for a pistol to buy, I think it was around November or December of that year that I bought the G22. So not quite 13 years

I have one of these SCI marked G22's as well, also a CGL prefix. I got it from a friend of my dad's in Tucson back in 2001 or so.
