Ever consider a paid only forum for each tier?
I've seen it on other forums where each tier has its own section.
Silver
Gold- can access Silver
Platinum- can access Gold and Silver
CLM- can access Platinum, Gold, and Silver.
I think it would be a good way to promote the paid memberships. For example, when 2 platinum members comment in the "free" sections about a thread in a "paid" section, people will be more inclined to become a paid member.
And on a side note. A payment plan for the yearly costs on the Silver/Gold/Platinum, 3.50/5.25/7.00 a month/12 months may also encourage people to become paid members. As far a CLM goes, possibly a $50 a month for 5 month option. The way the economy is going, people will see that they can afford a smaller amount over a period of time, rather than all at once.
