In the Raleigh/Durham area, I have yet to see a restaurant that's posted.

Any restaurant that doesn't serve alcohol is, effectively, concealed-carry friendly.

Where is here... none of them (corporate/franchised) are posted here in the South Charlotte Area.

If you truly want to have a useful list then you need to post the address of each location after it's been verified that they have no signs (and a visit date would be helpful).

A list of national chains really isn't a help.

As said earlier, a franchised location may be regulated by the owner operator and not the national office so some location could be posted while others aren't.

Actually, that is great advice. Will do.

Asheville.'08.

Thought so....came across an Arby's posted there once. IIRC, IT was the one on Patton Ave. I read the head office the riot act via email about it, didn't even bother with a response...

Burnsville is getting like "little Asheville" with all the left-leaners around there....but when I've been there, I've NEVER seen any eatery posted yet. And my spare tire will attest I've been to a few of 'em. ;)

ETA - I frequent TWO different Arby's locales in East TN, and neither of them is posted.

Last time I went to a local Waffle House the no firearms sign was in the Parking Lot, long before you got to the front door. I interpreted that to mean one could be charged for leaving it in your car. Have not been back.

The law says "conspicuously posted". I figure if I see it, it's probably conspicuous enough, but I don't go looking, and I don't bother reading mice type.

What is this crap? In NY we don't have places like restaurants that are off-limits. Despite NY having a bad rep for gun owners I've never seen a sign prohibiting the carrying of a concealed weapon on any premises. There are no laws restricting a CCW in any bar, restaurant or public transportation. And about 14% of my county (Orange) have a CCW permit. Why is this an issue in so many states?

Crazy laws here...by the way...if you are not LEO and have an NY CCW only... you are NOT allowed to carry here in NC, nor in most other states. You can carry in only 11 states last I heard... YOU CAN NOT CARRY in: PA, OH, WV, VA, NH, MA, CT, RI, NJ, DE, MD,NC, SC, GA, AL, FL, MS, LA, AR, MN, IA, KS, NE, ND, WY, CO, NM, NV, OR, WA, VI, PR, CA, WI, IL!
I think NY CCW holders are in a worse position than those in NC.
The only states I can not carry in (being I am a NC CCW permit holder) are CA, WI, IL, MN, IA, NE, WY, NV, OR, CA, NY, ME, MA, CT, RI, NJ, MD, DC, PR, VI!

I have not seen any that I can think of from Hickory all the way to Boone. I have never had an issue in any of these chains either.
