If we all pooled all our equipment together it wouldn't be enough for that big white lens over his shoulder :faint:

$150K 60 lbs.

Is this like the count the jellybeans in a jar? If we guess correctly we get the gear?

I like your guess, I'm thinking that one over his shoulder is the 1200mm L. that was on B&H a while ago used for $99,000! and I agree: :faint:

Nope. Just a 500 or 600F4.

Well, I've spent some time in the past analyzing that picture.

I am starting to believe it's a fake for several reasons.

The guy is holding the camera/lens he is using WRONG. He's holding it like someone would a P&S...

The guy has at least five 1D series bodies slung around his shoulders, themselves costing a sum of $25,000, but he's dressed like a bum...

He has NIKON straps on bodies that are certainly Canon bodies (the black and yellow Nikon strap on the 1D body on the right that defiantly has a 70-200L attached and some other unknown L lens on the left).

Also with all of the equipment the guy has around his neck, he would probably not even be able to stand. I'd guess he has at least 50 pounds around his neck.

The kneepads give it away.....lens whore.

Big is right (I believe).
This is clearly an attempt at humor by a bunch of bored photogs during some down time at a PGA event. Sitting around, they came up with the idea of hanging their most garish equipment on a guy who then demonstrates a complete inability to take a simple snapshot...it's a dig on all us wannabes who have better equipment than skills. (myself included).

To quote my favorite line from "I'm gonna get you sucka"...
"How'd he go to da bafroom wit all dat **** on?"

I'd say that's a real sports shooter at a PGA event. Looks like a 600 4, 300 2.8, 80 - 200ish, maybe 17 - 35 and 35 - 70. I'm not too much up on the Canon lenses . I'd guess pushing $20K just in glass. Can't tell what bodies those all are but at least another $15K there and I'd say around 60 pounds

I have all that in the Nikon glass and can say the 600 is a beast.

Knee pads are pretty standard at pro sporting events
