A few shots from a winter hike in Pinnacles National Monument. That's probably the best time to hike there. In the summer temperatures can easily reach 100F (in the shade). We hiked in the clouds most of the time, the temperature was in the high 40s to low 50s. With a good pace we felt warm. Another advantage of hiking in the winter - no people. We only met a group of Boy Scouts who didn't mind cool weather and were running in the rocks like mountain goats.
