A few shots from a winter hike in Pinnacles National Monument. That's probably the best time to hike there. In the summer temperatures can easily reach 100°F (in the shade). We hiked in the clouds most of the time, the temperature was in the high 40s to low 50s. With a good pace we felt warm. Another advantage of hiking in the winter - no people. We only met a group of Boy Scouts who didn't mind cool weather and were running in the rocks like mountain goats.
