I am going to get my first glock next week and cant decide between the g22 and the g35. I like them both alot except on the g35 the extended slide release gets in the way, is there any way i can bring that down about half length. Also how much more accurate is the 35 over the 22 because i am a new shooter and am not very accurate yet:)

I use the 35 because I am more accurate with it. I can also shoot every sport with the same gun. I do not hesitate to take a 20 yd headshot with my 35.

Good Morning...I have 2(22's) and shoot GSSF...if you have any inclination to participate in the future you would be better served to get the 22, this would allow you to participate in Amateur Civilian and where the 35 would disclude you. I have shot the 35 and have found it a good pistol....I would suggest that the extra money spent on the 35 could be added to the cost of the 22 in procuring a 3.5 # connector and a good sight as the drop in Bomars....also extra mags could be invested in....but whatever you do, you have stepped in the right direction...have fun and enjoy ;f

Depends if you are wanting to carry or not, and are you planing on taking it to competitions? Both are accurate.

IPSC shooters seem to prefer the 35. The longer barrel helps velocity and so helps them make major. I agree that for GSSF the 22 makes more sense. For CCW the 23, and it would be a nice IDPA gun, too, though in IDPA there is no advantage to the .40 over the lighter recoil and faster recovery of the 9mm.
