View Full Version : Glock 36---A question of size!-Help Guys!
;d I usually carry my 17 everywhere. Recently I've wanted something that is easier to conceal. This isn't about stopping power, as much as ability to conceal. That being said: Is a Glock 36 more like packing a Glock 19, or a 26??? Honestly, the 17 is perfect for me. The 19 nice, but a tad small. The 27 just feels funky to me. I have yet to handle a 36. Any comments, welcomed!
The G36 is about the same size as a G19.
G36 is a little tiny bit shorter in height and length. It is, however, much thinner. I carried a 19 for a long time, these days I alternate between the 33 and the 36.
BTW, let me know if you want me to post a picture of the grip...
If you don't mind the 9mm, I would say that the G26 was my favorite CCW. I sold it and miss it. Bawwwwwww. Hawwwwww. Hawwww.;u
I carried a G19, and went for the G36 as a thinner, concealable pistol. They both fit in the same Galco Stealth IWB holser. In fact, when I bought the holster, I got it for the G19, but noticed on the package that it was for both the 19 and 36. If that doesn't tell you something, it should. Both handguns are approximately the same size. The extra slimness of the G36 is not sufficient for you to go from sweatshirt to tee shirt and shorts with the same carry holster. A Glock is a fat gun, regardless of the few hundreths of an inch in width between the G36 and G19. I don't mean to discourage you, the G36 is probably the finest .45 auto around. Just don't expect to carry it in your shirt pocket like an NAA or K-T.
