Hello, I am new to advertising on this website and have brought with me a grip I designed that will give you unsurpassed performance for your Glock.

I have been an avid Glock enthusiast for many years and owned many different models. With every model I envisioned a grip that would eliminate any movement of the pistol in my hands while shooting. In short, I wanted the pistol to STICK as if it was a part of me no matter the condition of my hands.

After many templates and prototypes I had finally found the solution to eliminating excess pieces and creating a one-piece, no-nonsense grip for Glocks.

These grips cover both sides of the pistol including the backstrap and the finger grooves for a complete 360 degree grip on the pistol in just one simple design.

This is a one-piece grip that will never let you down no matter if your hands are wet, slippery or greasy. Because you never know what situation you may be in when your firearm becomes your only option.

I offer free shipping and always will. Why? Because. The reason is as simple as my grip.

I am also a Glock and Colt AR15, M16 armorer as well as a Firearms Instructor and I will enjoy contributing to the forum as often as possible. If you have any questions or want more info please click on TalonGunGrips.com (http://www.TalonGunGrips.com).

Many thanks to the GlockTalk Staff for allowing Talon Grips to be a part of this outstanding forum!

P.S. G19 and G23 coming very soon.

no grip for the 30SF?

I am working hard on getting all the models but it takes time to get the connections to get the guns and then get the measurements. On my website the 21 pictured is my own and the 34 and the 26 are co-workers of mine. I design all the grips specific to the Glock and then have them die-cut out-of-state. I even learned about creating a website and doing my own graphics out of this, plus making the banner you see here on GlockTalk. It's a one man show and with it go the challenges. Believe me, I am working hard on it.

You don't. I never had glue residue after a removal and replacement. If there is an alcohol wipe should do the trick.

What kind of warranty do you offer? -- Having glue that's removable, makes me think these grips may not last long after duty use/weather.

Thanks!

If a problem arises I will take care of it, period. Duty use, weather concerns......it will stick. I've been testing this since 2007, and the AZ desert is a harsh climate.

Any G30 grips in the works?

I would need a G30 for sizing. Nobody I know of in my small town has one. However, if anyone is interested in sending me one I would do a complete armorer inspection and cleaning plus pay for all the shipping.

It depends how you carry. I would not want them rubbing against bare skin all day and if you have clothes rubbing on them they may get a bit worn. The grips do "break in" after a few shooting sessions and, in my opinion, begin to feel just right.

I admire your willingness for trying them given your good feeling for Agrip. I am not trying to make anything better than Agrip here or even Hogue.

My grip and these other two are totally different ideas. Some people like Hogue over the others because they offer a palm swell and that feels good to them. Others like Agrip because it feels good for them for various reasons.

My grip is ment for those who prefer a decal grip that offers 360 degree coverage. I also work hard to give excellent and fast personal service to everyone. :highfive:

Grips look great but may I suggest you lighten the background color on your website? The "coolness" look is definitly there, but it was hard for me to get a good look at the dark grip on the dark pistol w/ the dark background.

Some people like to get as good of a luck as possible on a potential purchase, especially when purchasing online.

Just a friendly suggestion :wavey:

These look interesting.

How are they when you are drawing the weapon? Meaning, do they "stick" to the hand and not allow the hand to get a good firing grip?

I've had grips that are so aggressive that they will actually stop you hand in their tracks.

Talon G23 Grip Review

<HR style="COLOR: #8c735a; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #8c735a" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_start --><!-- END TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_start -->I've had my G23 for about a month now and the only gripe I HAD with the gun was the grips. Love the finger grooves, but it really didn't lock into my hand the way I wanted it to.

So, I started to do some researching different grips. Honestly, the grip tape stuff was last on my list. I looked at nearly every option and didn't find anything that I though would do the trick.

Then I found the Talon grips ( http://talongungrips.com/main.sc (http://talongungrips.com/main.sc)). At first I was against them being grip tape and all, but saw that they wrapped around the entire weapon which really appealed to me. Needles to say I ordered a set.

They arrived in 4 days to my job in Tampa, Fl. Opened the envelope which came with the instructions and obviously the grips.

Installation was as straight foward as it gets:
1. Clean
2. Peel
3. Stick
4. Trim

On to the pics:

After I trimmed the finger grips and locked them in real well I finally felt like I had complete control of the gun. They make all the difference, for me anyways.

At the range is where they really shined. After 200 rounds, they held strong, didn't bother my hand (s) AT ALL, and did exactly what I wanted them to do.

All in all, I think these grips are a great addition to any Glock and I plan to put them on all my future Glocks. Talon Gun Grips are the grips the gun should have came with.

Manny

I had been considering it. However, there is a good possibility that the OD would not exactly match the Glock OD. So the question is; Would you mind that?

The black grips and Glock OD look very nice together already. I would like some input here.

Thanks,

Just ordered a set for my G-17 (at least I hope I got the right one!)

I hope you do branch out to more different firearms. The ONLY grip I have found for my .40 cal Firestar is that Hogue Universal Jr. Not very appealing to say the least (although I do like their other grips - Ruger Security-Six, Ruger P-89, etc).

And as far as I know, there is NOTHING for the new Detonics CombatMaster .45.

Just a couple to keep in mind when you DO branch out, LOL!

D445547,

I realize it may not be economically feasible for you to make up grips just for the handguns I mentioned earlier, but...

How about sheets, strips, shapes of the material to DIY for those of us with these not so common handguns? I mean generalized shapes for say the sides, others for the mainspring area, long racetrack style ovals, etc? Kind of a generic all-purpose kit.

You would probably have just as good an idea which ones would work best as I would, but you get the general idea?

Just a thought. I think they would sell, but I could be wrong!

I had been considering it. However, there is a good possibility that the OD would not exactly match the Glock OD. So the question is; Would you mind that?

The black grips and Glock OD look very nice together already. I would like some input here.

Thanks,
D

If they didn't match perfectly let the consumer buy a purse to "match". Personally grips are for gripping and if they were close in color that would be fine with me.I'd put od grips on a black gun and black grips on an od just to befuddle the masses.Make'em and they will sell.

Derik,

I've just put your Talon grips on both my G26 & G17. They look and feel great!

This procedure worked very well for me:

1. Place grips on gun, not worrying about getting everything to stick down.
2. Align portion on backstrap dead center, align finger groove strips evenly with finger grooves.
3. Warm backstrap portion with blowdryer, and stick it down. Warmed grip can slide somewhat to fine tune alignment.
4. Warm sides of grips, stick down all edges, and fine tune alignment.
5. Warm finger groove strips, stick them down and fine tune alignment.
6. I had some very small scissors with long handles, and using just the tips of the blades cut the excess length from the finger groove strips, letting the lower blade slide along the front edge of the side grip, where they overlap, as a guide.
7. Warm these freshly cut areas, stick down and press well up against front edge of side grip.

This procedure resulted in a grip that appears virtually endless in circumference. You must look closely to see the seam.

The only thing I can see that might improve this grip is to include an alcohol swab packet with the order :)

...using just the tips of the blades cut the excess length from the finger groove strips, letting the lower blade slide along the front edge of the side grip, where they overlap, as a guide. That is EXACTLY how I did it. Looks good too.

After you get a $50. duty shirt ruined you'll start thinking they're an expensive solution to a non-existent problem.

I hope that "this" generation of buyers takes the time to stop back and report what they think of "adhesive sandpaper grips" in about a month. It won't really impact your sales because the sales will have been made.

I just know from experience that there will only be one winner in your sales campaign.

I don't know what this persons problem is, but whatever. I, like many people, have thought of ideas to help find a solution to a problem that I, my friends or co-workers have had or ones that may improve something. Many of us dream of a day when one of these ideas may come to life...unfortunately, a lot of the time they remain as just that...dreams. Although they may be good ideas, they go nowhere and many times they turn out to be not the great ideas that we all once thought they were.

I truely believe in the product, and am trying very hard to get this idea started and make my dream come true. This product was a solution to the sweaty, slippery hands that I would get from working in 110 degree weather all day long and the worry of not being able to get the grip I needed when it really counted. This product has not only helped me with my concern, but others have found it helped them with the similar problem/concerns.

I just don't understand why you just can't be happy for someone who has finally took the risk to try to make their dream come true.

+ 1000. Thanks for the support Hokie! I greatly appreciate it.

FYI-I enjoy spending my time helping promote good products that I like and that I have found to have helped me as well as sharing a good tip here and there for other firearm lovers. If I have a problem with something I bought I go directly to the seller for a solution because sometimes I know that it may just be a misunderstanding. To me it is only fair to give them the chance to correct the problem.

Ran these yesterday on my G17 at a local USPSA shoot. I've never really had a problem with the gun moving in my grip, so I can't comment on that. Just put my order in. I have extremely sweaty hands, so I'm sure these will make a difference. I already have decal sandpaper grips on right now, but these grips look promising. The fact that your grips wrap around the finger grooves is very important to me. Looks like an amazing product!

I had previously inquired about a rubber grip being offered, but I never got a response. After reading what the other poster had wrote I hope this is not a touchy subject. But, I am still curious as to if you think that you will ever offer a similar grip in a rubber venue. I am just genuinely interested, not trying to be rude. On my carry 1911 I have the Kimber rubber grips, the kind of rubber that feels tacky. They work well, and don't tear up clothing. This is the only reason why I was wondering if you will offer something like this.

I get this question every so often and the answer is yes I am looking into some rubber products but so far no samples I have gotten impressed me enough to invest in. I am still looking at some options and I will post if I find what I have in mind exists. Other than that I am sorry if I missed your question earlier, sometimes things slip under the radar. :wavey:

just wanted to throw an update in and give another bug thumbs up. i have been carrying my g35 with this grip installed and love it. i did have to go back to making sure i wear an undershirt as i have grown some love handles lately :) i got it out in the rain this week and love the was it grips. my old hogue sleeve would slip around on the pistol just enough and would shift if i gripped it really tight. the Talons solved these problems.

edited to add: when installing mine, i installed them cold to get them in place properly and more easily. thn i heated it with a blow drier to get it to stick solidly

Got my shipping confirmation earlier today, WOW you guys are fast! I used to have the Hogue rubber sleeve on it, felt pretty good in the hand but still felt slippery on the back side when my hand got sweaty, these look like the perfect solution. Do they add much thickness to the grip?

They add little to no thickness to the grip.

Just wanted to say thanks for a great product! Installation was very easy and the grip feels even better after having been "used" for a while. The fit is perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Thanks for answering my question. Just remember if you ever do create a rubber grip please pm me.

I got my order in the other day, and I am very impressed. You have excellent customer service, and got the product to me very quickly. Some people may not care, but I did enjoy the hand written note on the instructions.

I was suprised by how the material felt. It is different than the other decal or skateboard tape grips I have felt; which is what I was expecting it to feel like. It feels really good, and seems like it will be much less abrasive on the clothing than the sandpaper grips I have on now while still providing a great grip surface. I am about to put them on now and I will post after I have them installed, I just wanted to post to say that I am impressed with your customer service and product thus far.

I was finally able to get to the range to try out the new grips. They worked great, this is a good product. I have suggested them to other guys that I know that are using the skate board tape like I was. I really like how the grip extends across the finger grooves and along the backstrap, this really helped to provide a great grip.

Installing them was no big deal, and didn't take that long at all. Using a blow dryer like others have suggested came in handy.

Thanks, I am a satisfied customer.

I purchased a G19 yesterday, and feel pretty good about it (finally purchased a pistol in a caliber other than .45 ACP). Anyways I will be ordering another set of grips tomorrow or Saturday to outfit her with. I showed the grips to an LEO buddy of mine and he was impressed (he is using skateboard tape on his G22 right now) and is having me order a set of grips for him. Great product, speaks for itself.

Also, after a few trips to the range the grips do wear in nicely.

But man...i cant wait to shoot this thing. it fit PERFECT...it looks awesome...and it feels like i will have ridiculous control over this thing

My one and only con is that iwb at 1 o clock...if it pinches on my "shelf" it definitely doubles as a hair remover...it just means i need a new/better holster and i would still trade some pinching for the amazing grip

When I carried my G23, I had talon grips installed. I also used an MTAC holster. The grip doesn't even touch the leather. Your holster will be fine.

Yep. I scrubbed the crap out of the Glock with the included alcohol pad just to ensure they stuck. I'm very impressed with the grips but I do have one complaint. If I carry this concealed without an undershirt, my skin is nearly rubbed raw. In hand, the grip does not feel that rough but on my love handle its quite rough. That's an odd thing to happen being as it was in a case even. This problem may have been due to the gun being slightly damp or even oily before installation. Try reheating the grip and really pressing it into place.

Whatever the case, if you continue to have a problem just contact me via PM or through the e-mail on my website and we will take care of it post-haste my friend. :highfive:

It is hard to give anyone suggestion when it comes to CCW and it will be up to the user to find the best EDC system that you can find, maybe a fanny pack will be one option, but some people do not feel comfortable wearing one, I see you are from Florida and that may fit your situation, but that will be your determination, the predicament will be to carry or not to carry, if you use a fanny pack and you will always carry your weapon with you at all times then you selected a good EDC. The key is to always carry. Hope this helps.

I understood what you were asking, but the solution still will be up to you, what works for me may not work for you. Perhaps you may want to buy another holster that will have larger flat that will accommodate (have it custom made) the pistol grip. Or maybe someone will come out with a solution to your predicament.

Just ordered a set for my 21sf. I hope they work better than my Decal Grips that I've had for a month where the edges are not sticking.

Had to throw this out just to say how impressed I am with the customer service of Talon Grips. Put my second set on my G32 today with no stretching involved, I think these will work out great. I have nothing but good things to say about D and his company and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. When a company takes care of you for something that was probably your fault, how can you *****? :dunno:Thanks again D! :wavey: Here's a couple of pics:
