Hope someone can help me with a question. Restoring a Winchester Mod. 1910 SL and need to know what the external dial type knob located at the rear of the receiver is for?

1. 	I had one with the knurled barrel for cocking, the round know is ofr dis-assembly, it should have a small putton you depress to unscrew it. Mine shot very well, I hunted with it for yrs.
