.22 round blew up when shooting?

Posted 12-30-2011 at 15:11 by SGT Fennell

Me and my dad were shooting and When he was shooting his Marlin 60 , he had a round fail on him. It had a small poof to it and jammed. We pull the failed round out and it had no rear casing on the round it self. We were wonder why this would I thought at first it was the primer but it did strike and fire , I guess but an now thinking it was the round casing it self. It was Winchester super x .22 lr ammo , would this be the problem???????
