Knob Creek Spring 2011 is history

Posted 04-12-2011 at 07:43 by tokarevsvt

We finished up at Knob Creek selling all the SHTF 50 uppers we brought plus 2 SHF R50 rifles. It was the best show ever as far as .50 cal sales go. We had good weather aside from a T-storm on Friday morning. Got back home yesterday around 1pm - Now its a mad rush to get the crates packed for the upcoming NRA Annual Meetings in Pittsburg PA April 29-May 1.

04/02/2011

I recently picked up a consecutive S/N# set of G-17 RTF2s. One is to be a range beater, the other is a spare I guess.

It performed flawlessly as anyone should expect. I fired it on the move, around cover, under the truck, standing, sitting, kneeling, one handed, weak handed, you name it.

It was a windy South Texas day and it got a little dusty, but nothing I would consider excessive.

I lubed it before the session with Breakfree...

Knob Creek - one day left....

Posted 04-09-2011 at 21:59 by tokarevsvt

Friday was awesome when it comes to sales for SHF - I sold all of the SHTF 50 uppers I brought to the show on Friday. In addition I found the front end from a Type 81-1 Chinese assault rifle when I was out wandering around before the show opened to the public. Having both a great day selling our products and finding neat gun parts makes it all worth while. Today - Saturday - started out with a bang from mother nature - Thunderstorms rolled through early then it cleared up into a sunny afternoon....

Carrying 1 gun or 2 for CHL holders...

Posted 04-08-2011 at 16:11 by nrayjr

As a Texas Certified CHL Instucter for the past 15 years, I always recomend the Glock 19 for 1st time CHL License holders or people with a carry permit. Why??? Because it's simple, light, conceals well, AND It Works Every Time!!! And even tho my favorite CHL gun is a officers size 1911 in .45 acp, I frequently carry a Glock 31 (357 sig) & a Glock 33 compact as a Back-up because the mags will interchange. I prefere the .357sig caliber because it has miuch more stopping power than a 9mm, but it...
