Scrap Yard Knife Company

Posted 09-27-2008 at 12:18 by meshmdz
I have long been a fan of this knife company.

http://www.scrapyardknives.com

Founded by Dan Busse, the brother of the infamous Jerry Busse (founder of Busse Combat), Dan has built his company on making the toughest knives for the best buck. Dan, through dumpster diving from metals in the Busse shop, discovered a shock-steel called SR-77, and was amazed at its toughness and uses this in his knives. It has toughness levels equal to that of INFI and in some regards is tougher in terms of shock resistance. The edge retention is a bit better with INFI, henceforth, it is more expensive. However, in my personal knife uses, SR77 has proven to be the best for me. If you beat the hell out of your knives, then SR77 is the steel for you. Matched with the very best warranty in all the business, if you EVER break a SY knife, no matter the owner, Scrap Yard and Dan Busse will replace your knife free for no cost. You cannot beat this warranty. If you trust your life to Glock as your sidearm of choice, then Scrap Yard is the blade you want on the other side of your belt. Glock and Scrap Yard Knives are the best in their respective businesses and I am a proud supporter and carrier of both!

agreed..I'm a fan of all the busse-kin knives. I have more Swamp Rats than either Busse or ScrapYard, but I love the hell out of my Dog Father. I keep eyeballing a dumpster mutt to keep in the truck too

you simply cannot beat Busse-kin knives. they are THE BEST on the market. I personally love Scrap Yard more than Busse or Swamp Rat. Busse Combat is the cream of the crop but you are paying for it.... I only own 2 scotch dispensers from BC and 2 Nuclear Ice Picks that are pretty cool. I own a Swamp Rat warden and a Mini Mojo. I have a SY yard keeper, a S6, SOD, and a new s6 on the way from atlanta a brand new black s6.
