Anterior Cervical Discectomy with Fusion ACDF.
This was the surgery performed on my wife last month. A surgical entry was made from the front of her throat, avoiding damage to windpipe, arteries, and nerves. A degenerate disk was removed. Another surgical entry was made in her abdomen. From that, something was extracted and her stem cells were isolated. In the neck, a titanium cage shaped as a healthy disk and containing a bit of cadaver bone and sprinkled with her stem cells was inserted...
