I open carry to and from work everyday in PA. I'm a armed guard at a federal building and I'm permitted with my 235 card.

Hack, I guess it boils down to this personal philosophy; why should I hide my firearm from you and why on earth do I need to pay hundreds of $$ to be given the right for personal protection? Any law abiding citizen should be afforded the inaliable right to keep and bear arms. Bearing does not mean hiding under a coat and being arrested if someone can see your firearm print through a T-shirt. That's just lame.

an open carry amendment is dead right now in Texas, but with Texas gun rights e next supporters, can be raised again in the next session. Gov. Perry I believe will sign it into law if it makes his desk.

Hey everyone I stumbled across this group somehow. I fully support both methods of carry and I myself am still apprehensive but slowly opening up to open carry. I hope open carry becomes more of the norm like it was back in the Pioneer days because I firmly believe in "An armed society is a polite society."

In case you didn't know the Commanding General of the Alaska Theatre of Operations (where I'm currently based out of) has a standing order rescinding the rights of US service members to carry concealed, leaving them no choice but to open carry.

Motor-T, why does Texas restrict open carry in the first place? Is it including while hunting in the country with a hunting pistol?
