Good afternoon. I read you post on GATE pertaining to the Glock 30SF vs Glock 30S. While I do not have a Glock 30S I have had a Glock 30SF and currently carry a Glock 36.
I am issued a Glock 21SF and carry it on duty at least part of the time.
I recently sold my Glock 30SF and bought a slightly used Glock 36. I am here to tell you that size matters and all forms of that size. Externally the Glock 36 is .140" thinner than the Glock 30SF and in my opinion it does make a difference. Also when the Glock 30SF (10+1 rds) and the Glock 36 (6+1 rds) are both loaded there is just shy of 7 ounces difference in loaded weight, and yes that too makes a difference at least to me.
With all that said I am not sure I would give up my Glock 36 to buy a Glock 30S BUT I do know I would not buy another Glock 30SF for concealed carry.
