Sorry it took so long to respond, I haven't been on GT in forever. I wouldn't worry about frame damage. At last count, I had over 13,000 rounds through my G29, most of which were very hot hand loads. I tried the whole stiffer spring thing, but never liked it. I noticed heavier recoil and reliability issues. Now, I'm talking about 2-3 failures over thousands of rounds, but in stock form, the gun has never failed. The only evidence of damage I ever had was a cracked locking block somewhere around the 8-10k round mark. The way I look at it, Glock parts are cheap, so if something breaks, you can fix it. I don't think the polymer will ever fail, at least not within a reasonable lifetime of 100,000+ rounds. Frame battering might be a concern with an all-metal 1911, but I've never seen any real evidence that it occurs in Glocks. Now, locking block battering may be a concern, as I saw in my gun, but it was a cheap and easy fix.
