Evidently I do not have enough post to respond to Hankv's question posed to you about the 155 grain Gold Dot. That is my department's issue round for our G22s and G27s. I went to an ATK workshop a few years ago and was impressed. We switched from 180 grain Gold Dots shortly after the testing. Never had an issue with the round in our guns. My department is the South Sioux City NE PD. Thanks for your hard work Mas and take care.
ive been reading your stuff since 1988 or so....i forgot which gun magazines they were but i'll never forget the two pix of you, one you were drawing a stainless Bulldog 44spl bobbed hammer from the right front long coat pocket and the other you were in some police uniform (hat and all) with a Ruger p90DC? in the holster.....i was young and impressionable...you gave good tips then and still do to this day.
I was 12 years old when I read "In the Gravest Extreme", this was back in the '80s. Since then I have followed your very impressive career. I hope to someday meet you. And I hope to someday take one of your courses.
Just wanted to say its a pleasure to read some of your writings and have the opportunity to chat with you on the forums. I just learned about your flashlight techniques in the Police academy at the Niceville florida location. Very interesting stuff. thanks again.
Sir I just wanted to let you know that while doing a google search for your colleague Mr. Clint Smith, the first response I received was a paid add under his name for Front Sight. Out of curiosity, I tried your name and recieved the same response. I'm sure you already know but I feel that I have to report such business practices.
I guess if I'd read your responses over in GATE in the order of Oldest to latest instead of vice versa, I'd have had an answer to one of my questions. The GI and "Saddle method" are the same, right?
However, my first question needs to be reworded a bit: Is it OK to load the chamber by leaving the slide back and then slingshotting it after inserting a fall mag? Even loaded +1 (after topping off the mag) the slide does not seem to catch like I described when I rack it by hand.
My Wife and I have been fortunate to have trained with you at MTG. I read all you have. I'm looking forward to reading "Combat Shooting with Massad Ayoob ". I only see preorder available. Will it be released before Christmas?
Also, as a Jeet Kune Do student, I have to say you are the modern day Bruce Lee of combat arms. Thank you for your contribution.
