I was reading your thread about cleaning your Glock. I use really hot water and Dawn dishwashing detergent and an M16 brush and clean it really well (this is with the gun totally taken apart). Rinse with hot water and then I use compressed air to dry it off. Reassemble, lube where needed and I'm good to go. I have been doing this for ten or more years and I have yet to see any rust at all. All of my Glocks get cleaned this way. A 17L, 17, and a 19. They have never given me a single problem.
