Eighteen years ago. Gv. 7 VDD, 108 gv. vdp, otdel'naya razvedrota. Something like 7th guard airborne division, 108th guard airborne regiment, detached recon company. Regiment was stationed in Kaunas, Lithuania (at that time it was still part of the Soviet Union). Our company was deployed to E.Germany and Abhazia. I also went on a short tour in Northern Caucasus four years ago with a GRU spetsnaz unit. Unit is stationed at Rostov-on-Don area, sorry don't want to advertise details, not big deal but I was on visa as a US resident and some people stuck their necks way out to get me on board.
