CCW in restaurants

Sept 30 we can carry in restaurants that serve alcohol. I would like to see posted here any that have the no guns allowed signs.

I found out today to go to kfyi.com for a list, it will direct you to asrpa.com.

Blue Moon Sports Grill, Duke's Sports Bar & Grill, and Chipotle are posted.

Here's someone who has the right idea:
Quote:

Janie Riddle, co-owner of the local chain Valle Luna, decided not to post any signs banning firearms, saying that it would be "business as usual" at the family's three Mexican restaurants.

"We've never had a problem in 26-plus years," said Riddle, whose husband, grown children and various relatives also work at Valle Luna.

"We basically talked about it as a family and as a business and just decided it was in the best interest to not prohibit law-abiding citizens from exercising their rights under the Second Amendment."

Riddle also said they felt the presence of those carrying guns legally could deter trouble from those carrying guns illegally. "I think it would get them to think twice, big time," she said.
Never tried them, but I'll throw them some business based solely on this.

Is the Chipotle a corporate choice or an individual choice? I believe they're owned by McDonalds.

Unless otherwise posted, you can carry in restaurants. Not if they serve alcohol, though.

Not true, there is a new law. Carry in restaurants that serve alcohol and bars is legal as long as they don't post and you cannot consume alcohol while carrying. There is a specific sign that has the ARS # on it that must posted to keep you from carrying.

Check out http://www.arizonashooting.com/v3/ and look for all the threads about this new law.

I'm 28 years old, and have ate at 2 of the locations off and on for at least 20 years.

I love the food. The salsa is awesome. They should definately be supported!

Where is this? Carrying in restaurants is okay here in Florida, just can't be at the bar.

A new law has passed in AZ that you can now CCW into a place that serves Alcohol, unless of course, they post no firearms. You can not partake of alcohol while CCW, which I agree with.

I did it for the first time yesterday at a company meeting. 2 of my co-workers wanted to know why anybody would want to carry a gun into a bar. Of course no amount of logic would work on them. They would rather make jokes about it rather than think it out. They did agree that somebody that meant harm would carry regardless of what the law stated.

Valle Luna has great food and I have always gotten good service. If you like mexican food, definitely don't hessitate to try them out.

Of course I'm not advocating breaking any laws.... But when I conceal carry. I conceal my carry, exceptions are, where metal or xray machines are in use.

McDonald's sold their entire stake in Chipotle quite some time ago. From what I've read, this is a corporate decision and all of their locations will be posted.

Pizza Hut in Tucson

Just went into the Pizza hut in Tucson, on Golf Links and Harrison, they had the No guns sign. I talked to the manager, who said the sign is new and it was a corporate decision. I told him I WOULD not be eating in his restaurant again. He said several people have mentioned this to him.

Anyone know who edits the above Black list?

glock45acp21 10-17-2009 23:35

Well, Valle Luna will be getting business from me when I can go out to eat. I noticed that the QT at 7th St and butler was mentioned, most QT gas stations are at least not going to say anything about guns, and most are cool with it. I've even had a few conversations with employees, a lot of them own guns. Outside of a AT at 67th and Thunderbird I did hear one woman (either customer or transient) yell out "does he have a permit for that?", must have been from New York or something. Right now, I can't go into a bar with a weapon, only because I don't have a CCW. I let my old one expire due to lack of funds at the time.

I hadn't been downtown since the law changed but I was happy to note last night that the Prescott Brewing Co. is NOT posted. Like I'm going there and not drinking though.
