Mossberg 500 Tactical
 

Just bought a Mossberg 500 Tactical from Big 5. I'm left-handed, has anyone ever moved the shell- holder from the right-side of the tactical stock to the left, and other than a sling, any GOOD accessories??? Thanks, Bob-:usaf:

why yes there is. I just added a mini barrel tri-mount for my laser and flashlight.

Nice gun! Hey can someone tell me why folks prefer a Mossberg 500 vs a 590? It seems like having the longer mag tube (like on the 590) just makes more sense? What is the benefit of the shorter mag tube such as on the 500? Other than the obvious - less weight.

You can't put a bayonet on a 500. :tongueout:

I covered my basis and got both. I have a 20" 8+1 590 and a 18.5" 5+1 500 Mariner. They feel different just preference. If you have a problem 6 rounds of 12 Gauge can't solve 3 more rounds probably won't help. If I put a pistol grip on one I would do it on the 18.5" the other would seem even more front heavy but I prefer stocks on shotguns.

The only think i could think of is for clearance issues. 500 can fit a shorter barrel making it easier to get through door ways in regards to home defence.
