200XTP and AA#7
Well, my Starline brass came today. Went to Gander and they only had AA#7. So, for those who know, I was thinkn bout staring at 10gr and go'n up by .2 till I got 1200FPS. What OAL should I start with? 1.25? This will be out of a G20, CCI300 primers, stainless guiderod, 22lb spring and a LWD 5" barrel.Whats the thought on #7 for 200grs? Pros and cons of #7? What say Ye?
Accurate Arms Data
I suggest you to read first this thread:
10mm Reloading Forum > Accurate Arms Data
and probably you will get a lot of information to start loading with AA #7 which is one of the most recommended gunpowders for 10mm. With AA #7 you can even try with CCI 350 magnum primers, but start 10% lower with magnum primers than with regular. And carefully observe brass and primers for any overpressure signs at every shot.
If you have never loaded 10mm before, you MUST read also this thread:
10mm Reloading Forum > All Forum Users Must Read This
Enjoy your 10mm and stay safe!
eman308, The AA#7 is a good powder but...it is a little fast for the heavier bullets. Here is some data for Accurate Arms as you can see 1200fps is a little out of reach velocity wise. No. 9 will get you closer.
That being said the upper loading of AA#7 is not athe rocket you are looking for but that pressure will go up quickly above the recommended max shown. Good luck!

Thanks Shadow, thats what I was lookn for.
AA #9 and a six inch barrel will get you 1200 fps plus without excesive pressure. One of these days a long slide will show up at my house.
800x.= THE powder for these bullets.
