Removing black from blackened stainless steel.
Ibought a lone wolf barrel and had it blackened. Decided i don't like it because it wears off too easily and just want to get the whole thing back "in the raw" . Any suggestions ?

Carefully sand or bead blast it off, it shouldn't be difficult at all to remove. Be sure to plug the bore and chamber so you don't blast them, just the exterior surfaces.

Thank you Robar.
Four hundred grit, followed by one thousand grit, followed by two thousand grit, followed by Never Dull, did the trick. I couldn't believe how easily it came off. Shines like a mirror now. Thank You.

"Evapo Rust" Can be found at many auto parts or home improvement stores you soak the barrel 30 minutes or longer and it takes of blueing, parkerizing or rust. It might work depending how your barrel was blackened. It loeaves the base metal un touched
