P229/e2 for me. One of the best feeling and shooting pistol I own. The P226/e2 40sw is next for me. I gotta have both.

The P220 Sport looks like a winner . How did you fare with the weather ?

The floods and storms were not a problem for me being quite a bit further down the coast. Up north certainly had a beating though.

Glad to hear you made it ok. Hope the North get back on their feet soon.

I actually prefer the plain stock ones, of course that being said, that is one very nice looking sport.

1st choice:226 Elite two tone (stainless lower and black upper) in 9mm. Got one

2nd choice: 229 SAS. Want one

DLebowski 02-12-2011 21:42

226 SCT for me. Nothing like being able to blast through nearly half a box of ammo without reloading.

JK-linux 02-12-2011 21:49

Original P226 scent circa late 1980's/early 1990's. Stout ugly guns that weren't heavy and didn't jam. Awesome DA/SA triggers; super accurate and reliable. The Cadillac of the wonder-nines of the day.

Mine is 220 SAS DAK Carry

Plain Jane, railed 229/9 DA/SA. I'd trade my 228 for one of those right this minute.

I'd keep the P228 , great pistol.

P229 Stainless Elite. It looks like a work of art

Since I don't care for bling, the P226ST was the better option seven years ago.

I'm glad they made these mags. Always nice to have the extra rounds :wavey:

What grips are those. I'm picking up my 229 Elite stainless this week. ( Its in I'm waiting on my permit to pick it up) I read that some change out the wood grips to make it smaller.

The Retired Sarge 02-15-2011 07:54

Stock 229 in 40 with SIGLites, DA/SA. Just plain works well. Bill
