New System Bug Reports & Problems
 

Hi folks. Here is a thread to report anything that looks like a bug to you, or to ask for help doing something. The new software is easy to use, but it is new and there will be a learning curve, if only a slight one.

I would appreciate it if any of you who have figured the new software out would jump in and lend your experience to anyone whose question you know the answer to. It will take a lot of work to deal with the inevitable issues this changeover will bring up and I thank you all for your help. Eric

Cant Post ad?
 

I have tried 3 times, with chrome and Firefox to post an add with pictures and after clicking submit I get dumped back to the place an ad start page. I am going to try one more time with out any pictures.

Posting the add with out pictures did the trick so, I will add 1 picture hopefully, and host the rest with

Completely unable to post in the classifieds, it keeps asking me to register, then won't let me...I give up, really.

When I tried to place an add, and it reached the category stage the drop box is empty. Thanks

Try using a different browser.
My browser of choice doesn't play well with things like drop down menus.

I received the item I bought and now would like to post positive feedback but I can't find the original post nor any other way to post feedback. Please help.

Is there a way to sort by distance?

It would be helpful for those of us who prefer a face to face transaction, if we could sort by distance from our location. When I open the listings, it shows distance from me, but entries hundreds of miles away are mixed in with those in my area. Unable to post ads at all tried various different ways , I give up , This used to be my favorite forum classifieds but since the changes seems that it has lost just about everyone that used to post ads. I know it probably does not mean much but the old system was a perfect system.

Is it just me or people not marking ads SOLD and/or deleting ads. It seems like this new systems is like craigslist, contact a person and the item is sold or SPF and waste of my time.

How does someone leave feedback for you?

Unable to post in new want ads

I have been trying to post a handgun for sale
in the NEW want ads, twice and it doesn't show
up.

I also can't post an ad.

When I first click on "post an ad" it jumps to what it calls "step 2" which is where you select the category. Then it goes to the page with all the fields for writing up your ad, posting photos, keywords, etc. Then I click submit, and it jumps me back to the "step 2" page. Tried twice: no posts were made to the forum, and no post show up in my "My Ads" section. Please help.

Maybe this guy is having the same problem I am? I noticed that there aren't nearly as many users viewing the new ad system as the website reports viewing to old ad system.... kind of a bummer for anybody trying to sell anything.

i have been trying to gain access to the want ads via the link on the previous page when i click on link is says that We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later. whats going on with that its been doing this for all my computers and smart phone?

I'm having the same problem as many others. After I authored the add it sent me back to the step 2 of 3 page, and all of my information was lost. I'll come back in a few weeks to see if it's fixed.

As a note, same error when using IE 9.0, Firefox 4.0, and on iPhone when logged in. No error when not logged in.

Those of you who have been getting returned to "step 2": How long was the text in the ads you tried to submit? (I had a lot, and was wondering if maybe there's some invisible limit? Sounds doubtful...) I also uploaded the max number of photos - anybody try without photos?

UPDATE: It is only when I am logged in. I logged out and went to the want ads section with no problem.

I can't see classifieds at all nor the glock serial check thread.

I was having the same problem with filling out a post and after hitting "submit" it just sends me back to the "step 2" page.
I was finally able to post by doing it again without pictures. Then I went back and edited that post and added the pictures one at a time. It worked that way. Im not sure if it's necessary to add them one at a time, I just did it that way.
Hope this helps if you guys are still having problems with this.
