Looking for information on long range shooting
I am just getting into long range shooting and I have a question about Leupold Mk 4 10x. I have read that the 5 mils holdover is good for around 600 yards. Does that mean I shouldnt expect to hit further than that? Or is there a dial in method in addition to holdover that would allow for a 1000 yard shot? I know it is still too early to consider that but I am looking long term as to the potential of my set up.
Remington 700 in 308 win. 1/10 twist 24" barrel. I plan on loading my own ammo too. I already ordered my scope as I felt it was the best overall to suit my needs but I just wanted to know if the optic is capable of making that 1000 yard shot?
