Where Do I Start???
 

First off, sorry if this is a repeat question. I'm on the hunt for a all around AR rifle, but don't even know where to begin. There are far too many things to research w/o your help. I want something that is great for everyday "plinking"
yet still reliable enough to pick up w/ confidence at home - If the situation ever comes. Can anyone help suggesting where to start, what to look for, and most of all quality characteristics?
